Here are some of my favorite moments...

Classique: A Fashion Show for Curves 3.18.17

Thick
Stout
Big Boned
Big
Fat

Those words echo in my ear every time I enter a dressing room. As if it were second nature, I always check dress tags to make sure the numbers are right. Yes! Numbers. For as long as I can remember, I have had "numbers", and the numbers have to be right.
Growing up, I remember being told that my face was pretty, but men would never date me because I was tall and big boned. I even fell in love with a man who once said that on a scale of 1-10, I was a 7 due to my size. According to him, my face is what saved the day.
I stand 5'11 (without heels), and I proudly wear my numbers. My hips? thighs? Huge!
A lot has changed....
I am an unapologetic model.....with numbers.
Produced by Phyllis Roy, Classique: A Fashion Show for Curves is coming to Memphis, March 18th at 6:30pm. This project was created for the pretty in the face and thick in the waist. The idea is for all women, especially with numbers, to feel proud of their curves, and thighs!
It is a night of value and, yes....validation.
We are runway ready- 3.18.17

Reception Night! Breaking Barriers-Women's Month

Art Speaks.

I was spotted by one of the WONDERFUL teachers from Barret's Chapel at this event. Her words were moving as she compared a particular work to me. Already impressed by the atmosphere, I almost took this piece home. Art does speak, and this one spoke to my heart.
